Access Information

Memo Arts Centre aims to be accessible and welcoming to everyone, and we are committed to making your visit as easy and enjoyable as possible. Advance booking is always recommended so that our staff can readily provide assistance when required.


The Memo Arts Centre is a member of Hynt, a new national access scheme that works with theatres and arts centres in Wales to make sure there is a consistent offer available for visitors with an impairment or specific access requirement, and their Carers or Personal Assistants. Find out more here

Services Provided

The Memo Arts Centre has a range of services to assist all customers under our ‘Equal Access Policy’. Our services are described more fully below but if you have any special requirements please mention it to the box office staff when booking or email Alternatively contact the Duty Manager, or Front of House staff, on arrival who will be happy to help.

For visitors with access issues assistance is available on request, please inform the Box Office at the time of booking of any special requirements including reservation of wheelchair spaces. Wheel Chair Users

Dedicated disabled parking spaces are available with easy access to the venue.
There are wide door street level entrances, and a unisex accessible toilet on ground level.

Wheelchair Spaces are located in specific areas in the venue. These are limited in number. They are not available to purchase online. All queries and bookings must be made directly with the Box Office on 01446 738622 within the prescribed opening times. This allows you to discuss your specific needs and requirements with our experienced box office staff.

Blind / Visually Impairments

Family Friendly

The Memo is a family friendly arts centre, and we welcome children and families to our affordable events and film screenings, and aim to make your visit as enjoyable and troublefree. Please ask a member of staff if you have any queries or require assistance. The following information may assist your visit:

What can I bring my children to? For our family shows and films we will advertise the age range suitable to help you decide what to attend. The full details of the length and content will be available online and at the Box Office. As a general rule, performances aimed at children under 10 years old are less than 60 minutes.

For children under 2 admission is allowed to children/family friendly shows and films only. If preferred, your child can sit on your knee – a ticket will be allocated free of charge.

For children over 2 you will need to purchase an individual ticket for your child. We ask that you check the age guidance on shows and films before purchasing tickets.


We have free parking with easy flat access to the venue. We are happy for you to bring prams and buggies into the building. There are various places in the building to leave them before entering the Auditorium (Please note that these are left at owner’s risk)

Baby changing facilities are located in the accessible toilet on the Ground Floor. Highchairs and booster seats (subject to availability) are available. Front of House staff will be happy to provide hot water for warming babies’ bottles.

The cafe can provide a range of drinks and snacks. There are high chairs and room for wheelchairs or pushchairs. We are happy for you to feed your baby in the cafe or any other appropriate space.
