The 1967 ‘Detroit’ riot was one of the largest citizen uprisings in United States history. Protesters, police and the National Guard clashed on the streets in the horrific, deadly conflict.

When a shot is heard at the Algiers Motel, armed police converge on the area and begin a standoff with those inside. Everyone just wants to survive the night, but as tensions escalate between police and civilians, not everyone’s getting out alive.

Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow takes on one of the most terrifying events in US history, with a stellar cast including John Boyega, Anthony Mackie and Will Poulter.
