Ivor James and his wife Margaret, who has dementia, at a Cine-Memories screening.
Cine-Memories is a programme of monthly afternoon screenings for everyone to enjoy. These relaxed film screenings are specifically tailored for people living with dementia, their carers and families and they aim to make cinema more accessible, by providing an inclusive experience, in a safe and welcoming environment.
Join us from 1:00pm in our café bar to catch up with a friend over a drink, or enjoy some dementia friendly activities with new friends, before our film screening starts at 1:30pm.
Feedback from dementia friendly cinema attendees: “My husband’s dementia has excluded us from many activities but with dementia screenings we feel safe enough to enjoy going to the cinema again. It has been liberating for us both as we cope with this isolating illness”
