What’s Changed?

A lot has changed since you last visited the Memo, together we can make your visit safe and enjoyable.

We’ve made changes to our building to ensure it’s safe for you to return.

Here’s how you can help us:

If you have symptoms, please follow government guidelines and stay at home. The changes to booking information ensure that we will exchange or refund your tickets.

Register for Test and Trace

As part of the NHS Test and Trace programme, you will be required to check in to the venue via the QR code posters situated at the entrance points. To help the NHS fight coronavirus, we’ll be sharing guest contact details with the NHS tracing team when requested.

Online Booking

All tickets need to be purchased prior to events, there will be no tickets available on the door. We’ll send you an e-mail with your booking confirmation and information attached. You don’t have to print or display them – a member of staff of volunteer can also admit you by name.

Social Distancing

Safe distancing guidelines and one-way routes are in place throughout the venue. Staff and volunteers will be onsite to warmly welcome you and explain how things have changed. You’ll also notice new signage to help guide you and keep you informed.

Face Coverings

Please wear a suitable face covering when you visit us. You may remove your face covering to enjoy food and drinks.

Hygiene

Hand sanitiser is available at all entry points and in key areas. Please wash your hands thoroughly when you are in the venue and when you return home.

Contactless Payment

To minimise touchpoints, we accept contactless card payments up to a value of £45 and Apple Pay/Google Pay mobile payments with no limit.

We’re also making these changes:

Safety Screens

We have added screens at our box office and café bar where social distancing cannot be maintained.

Seating

In order to make your experience as safe, the auditorium and circle will be running at a much-reduced capacity. Seating groups have been created to cater for everyone and we will be maintaining safe social distancing between each group. More information about our adapted seating plan.

Film Times

We’re staggering the film start times to reduce queues and operating safe queuing measures with floor markings and volunteer support.

Increased Cleaning

We have introduced increased cleaning regimes in toilets and other high use areas, including regular disinfecting of all touchpoints including door handles and handrails.

Staff Training

All staff and volunteers have been trained on the new safety and hygiene measures and will be equipped with personal protective equipment including face coverings and gloves.

This list is a ‘working document’ and will continue to be updated in line with Welsh Government announcements and industry best practices, but should you have any further questions or enquiries please direct these to boxofice@memoartscentre.co.uk
