Superstars in the Making is excited to welcome two of its alumni back home for a brand new musical revue co-produced with the Memo Arts Centre.

Mabli Tudur and Callum Howells will guest appear in NYC, a studio style production, on the 19th and 20th June respectively.

Both students have recently earned positions at prestigious drama schools – Mabli will be studying Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy, London while Callum will be attending The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. They say that attending SITM has really helped them to hone their skills in preparation for higher education.

“I wouldn’t be attending Mountview Academy this September if it weren’t for Superstars in the Making,” Mabli says. “When I walked in to audition for ‘Grease’, I never imagined myself in the lead role. But when I got the part as Sandy, I knew for a fact that the stage was where I belonged. My training at SITM has been a major step towards following a career in Musical Theatre. Christian has been a huge support to me over the years and I shall always be grateful to him for his training – his passion and creativity pushes his students to be the best they can be.”

Callum, who has recently finished a role in ‘She Loves Me’ in London explains: ‘Training at SITM is second to none. Having the chance to work with experienced teachers, who always have your best interests at heart, makes it extremely enjoyable.

“Being able to learn your craft in a safe environment while also working towards a final product is so rewarding. I would always highly recommend SITM to all young aspiring performers living in South Wales.”

Alun Rees, who also attended SITM’s Musical Theatre Preparation course, will be studying at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in September. He says joining SITM was one of the best decisions he ever made.

“The amazing training hasn’t just contributed to my performance technique, it’s shaped me into a more rounded individual. I am overjoyed to have gained a place at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Thank you to Christian and all the team at Superstars for their contribution – you have been key to my development and for that, I am grateful.”
