DonateEvery contribution, large or small, would really help us and the people who rely on us.

With the uncertainty of when we will be able to re-open, we have cancelled and postponed many events, performances and screenings, and this has meant the postponement of printing our latest brochure.

Our iconic building was built as a place to remember and celebrate the bravery of Barry’s role in the First World War and has been at the heart of Barry since 1933. It has weathered upheavals of every kind, including the second world war and a major fire. But the building still stands strong, like the community it belongs to. We have sought to be a welcoming, safe and inspiring place for everyone.

Now, in this time of global difficulty, we are trying to be what our town and local community need us to be at this moment.  We will be working with our funders and partners to continue to champion Barry and our local community’s needs, to ensure that we re-open to connect the lovely people of Barry and those beyond through live events, film, creative arts, our education and wellbeing projects and to provide a vital resource for all to use. We will do our little bit, whatever it is, because all the little bits add up.

We are your Memo Arts Centre. We want to welcome you all back as soon as we can. We are confident that with your support and by working together, all of us will come out of this current crisis stronger and more connected than ever.

For now, we want to extend our love and best wishes to everyone – stay safe, stay in touch and where possible please support us.

From us all at Memo Arts Centre
